Finished baby ripple

Hello friends

Just a few snaps of the completed baby ripple blanket I posted about the last time. I added a thin white stripe at regular intervals to break up the colours a bit and I think it works. I'm not a huge fan of white but I felt it needed something. Overall, I am happy with it and hope the new parents like it!

A big thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post. They make me so happy! xxx

  1. It's beautiful. I especially like the last pic of it, it just looks perfect draped over the chair. Do you sometime find them hard to give away?

  2. Thanks for the comment Anne. I felt sad about giving my first fat granny stripe away because it was my first one and was so cosy and bright. I love doing baby things because there is something lovely about a little one being wrapped up and cosy in something I made x

  3. Aw it's gorgeous. The ripple looks so neat but so complicated. I don't think I am upto it just yet. I agree with you about the white. I think it ones down the brighter colours, giving it a more calmer effect. It looks gorgeous draped upon the chair. x

I think you're right about the white too. I am sure the giftees will love it. What a lucky baby.

  7. Turned out beautifully, Andrea. Colors are vibrant and it's a lovely picot edge. I so want to make a ripple blanket for me, but have a couple other gifts to make first. After seeing yours, I'm feeling selfish all of a sudden... have a lovely day :-)

  14. The blanket is beautiful and the edging really makes it special. My son has seen yours and wants me to crochet him one too...He is not a baby any more :) So he will have to wait some time I think.

Greetings from here to you :)

  15. Aw, this is precious. I especially love the picot edging. I would not have thought of that on a ripple, but it looks lovely. This will be an heirloom! I also love bright happy colors for baby blankets, and I think the babies like them too. (They probably get sick of all the pastel.)
